Dunedin City GP will be increasing fees for patients, effective from the 3rd of January 2025.The change does not include standard consultations for children under 14 years who remain free, or patients who hold Community Service Cards.In doing this, we are joining most other clinics in the country, as healthcare continues to be desperately underfunded by Health New Zealand (Te Whatu Ora), while the cost of running our clinic continues to rise. Dunedin City GP welcomes our third doctor to our busy practice, Dr Niranjan Sharma. Dr Sharma originally comes from Nepal but has also spent time in Japan, training and working in advanced surgery (gastrointestinal and organ transplants) before moving to New Zealand to become a General Practitioner. Patients enrolled with Dunedin City GP can now access their own after hours urgent care service. For urgent matters only, please call 022 355 4178. Your call will be returned within a couple of hours, by one of our doctors. There is a surcharge for a phone/virtual ($30) or face-to-face ($60) consultation.
